Statistical entropy of BTZ black hole in topologically massive gravity    [PDF]

The entropy of BTZ black hole in topologically massive gravity had been given with the form \textit{inconsistent} with the Bekenstein-Hawking entropy. In the paper, we provide a statistical interpretation for the entropy based on the reinvestigation of Cardy formula, and confirm it to be thermodynamical entropy by preserving the first and second laws. A novel property about Lorentz Chern-Simons term is also revealed that it does not influence the logarithmic correction to the black hole entropy.
