Holographic Wilsonian RG Flow of the Shear Viscosity to Entropy Ratio in
Strongly Coupled Anisotropic Plasma
   [PDF]

Kiminad A. Mamo
We derive and solve analytically, to a second order in the anisotropy parameter 'a', a non trivial holographic Wilsonian renormalization group flow equation for the shear viscosity of an anisotropic, strongly coupled N=4 super-Yang-Mills plasma by means of its gravity dual. We find that the shear viscosity to entropy density ratio [eta/s] flows from above 1/4pi at the horizon to below 1/4pi at the boundary, where it violates the holographic viscosity bound, by passing through a hypersurface at which [eta/s] saturates the holographic viscosity bound.
