The Maldacena Nastase solution is generalised to include massive fundamental matter through the addition of a flavour profile. This is shown to give rise to a singularity free IR and some of the consequence of this are explored. A recently proposed solution generating technique is then applied which results in a new type-IIA supergravity solution with a background that is asymptotically $AdS_4\times S^3\times S^3$ in a certain limit
